THE POWER IN WORDS

According to the Collins Co build advanced English dictionary, a word is a single unit of language that can be represented in writing or speech. It is very important to the human life because it aids communication, association, relationship and so on. It is through the words we speak that people access us. The universe was created with words and every other thing in it except man. The words we speak everyday goes a great deal to shape our destiny.

Words are powerful, for in the beginning, God created the world with his words. As representatives of God on earth, whatever we utter comes to pass. Having known this, how can we stay positive in our speech? It starts from the heart, the Savior admonished us  to guard our hearts jealously that it is not what goes into us that defiles us rather it is what comes out of our mouth because out of the abundant of the heart the mouth speaks.

If we’re to stay positive in our words, we should think positively, study the word of God, imagine positive things and act positively. Regardless of the situation you may find yourself, do not be negative and don’t speak negative words. You say; what if I do? I am not trying to scare you but the truth is that the negative word you speak will come to pass. So beware.

Another thing is the kind of people you mingle with. There is a saying that; ‘evil communication corrupts good manners’. The kind of people you move with, places you go and things you see and listen to affects the message that will be sent to your mind. It is those pictures or thoughts you have in your mind that will determine how you talk and act. So like the admonition of Paul, I’ll say if there is anything positive, good and edifying, think and act on these

FORGIVING AND FORGET

There was a certain rich man who was known for his wealth and fame. He owned many cattle’s, sheep, properties, land and fed well. He had two sons and many servants. One day, the youngest of the son told him; Father I need my portion of inheritance that I may take with me because I am leaving. The father said to him; “I am not yet dead and you want your inheritance, please wait for the right time to come and you’ll get your due, but all his pleas fell on deaf ears. Finally, when the father couldn’t bear it anymore, he divided his properties and gave him his share.
The son took it and left to a faraway country. There he lived a presumptuous life. He spent his money on women, drinks and vain things. Finally, he was left with nothing in his possession, and then he started begging and sleeping in the piggery. Then one day, he woke up and thought within himself; why would I be living this way, my dad is rich and I know I ‘have sinned against him but I can go back and plead to be one of his servants. Then, he arose and left, on getting there his dad spotting him from the distance, ran to embrace him and the son fell at his feet and beg for forgiveness saying; father I know I ‘have sinned against you and heaven, forgive me and give me a second chance to be one of your servants .The father took him in and ordered his servants to dress him with a fine attire and made a feast for him. He forgave and took him back as a son.
Note this; the forgiveness given to that son was total, the father never acted on the hurt he had received when his prodigal son returned. This is how to really forgive and forget. Though it is not an easy thing to do but when we learn to forgive, it becomes part of us.
Forgiveness is important because it endears us to God. It is one of the crucial acts requested from us by God, he showed us how to forgive by sending his son to die for us, holding nothing against us. He expects us to also have a forgiving heart towards those that  hurt us, not necessarily dying for them but by holding nothing  against them in our hearts.
In the scriptures, Christ said;” if you want to offer prayers or an offering to God and you suddenly remember that you had hurt someone or held a grudge against anyone, leave your offering, go and make peace with the person. Then, come back and say your payers’. When you do this, you’ll have peace and your offering or prayers will be accepted. Also, your sins will be forgiven by our heavenly father.
This shows how important it is for us to always forgive and forget. Therefore, let us always strive to show forgiveness to people who have offended us and not act on the basis of the hurt received when we see them. As you practice this, you’ll experience the peace that you could not have imagined.

THE INCOMPARABLE LOVE OF GOD

THE INCOMPARABLE LOVE OF GOD
What mother or father can give up their only child to die for other people for the sake of love? Can the love a parent have for his child be compared to the love he has for outsiders? It’s absolutely not possible. No one can ever love his fellow human being or his servant to the extent of giving up his only son to die for them, but God did that for us. His love can never be compared to any other persons love. It is the kind of love that is not based on our goodness but given to us regardless of our faults and weaknesses.
He made his only son to be a sacrificial lamb for us, to save us from the devil and bring us back to him. God paid the price for our sins with the blood of his son on the cross of Calvary. This is why we are free from sin and the bondage of the devil. He still loves us and will continue to love us, nothing will ever separate us from his love not even death (Romans 8:35-39).
By this act, he gave us the right to be called sons and daughters of God. We can pray to him and receive answers, unlike before when we where aliens to the kingdom of God. Now, we are Gods own people, a chosen generation and a royal priesthood. He showed us mercy by bringing us out from spiritual darkness into the light of his kingdom and endowed us with the saving grace that we can proclaim this wonderful act to all human races. Glory to God, What a gracious father we have! (1st peter 2:9-10)
The death of Christ also brought us resurrection and the gift of eternal life. We’ll all have the privilege of resurrecting on Christ second coming, since he is the first fruit to resurrect and our lives is in him. Those who have died will have their body raised and re-united with their spirits and they will become immortal but for those who will still be alive then, will be transformed to immortal beings to live with him forever.
Therefore, let everyone of us continue in the light which God has put in us by always allowing the love of God to show in our words and actions knowing that he first loved us. Let us return the love by showing it to our fellow men, the sick, needy, orphan, widows and those people that may need our help in one moment or other.

FAME VERSUS TALENT

Fame is the act of being popular or well known for a particular activity or thing while talent is the latent gift lying in an individual waiting to be explored or discovered.
What is the relationship between one's talent and fame
Most of the time, people tend to believe that fame must be the end result of talent put into use but in reality talent is not mainly to be seen as something for getting famous but that which brings fulfillment of purpose to the human life.Today,if you ask our youth what they would like to do,they would either say its singing, dancing, acting and so no because they feel that is what would make them famous and bring them into limelight.
Should this be the case? the answer of course is in the negative.the urge to get famous should not be core issue or the first on the mind of any individual but rather fulfillment of purpose, the impact in which such talent would have on people and the world at large.
Diligence should be applied to whatever talent one has and be applied consistently, talent should not be seen as a means to get rich quickly.we should not be influenced by people's  opinion on whatever our talents or visions are.
your talent might not necessarily be the type that would make you famous, but not withstanding,it would bring fulfillment, happiness and peace to your whole being.therefore, discover your talent, develop it and put it into consistent use "for he that is diligent in his business shall not stand before mean men and in his hands lies the riches he so desires"

THE POWER OF A POSITIVE IDEA

To every achievement, discovery or any height attained in life,is as a result of the concept of an idea being conceived through an imagination at one time or the other.
Looking around us,from the government regulations, religious ethics, social and cultural standards, the inventions we all have today is a result of actions added to the ideas conceived
what therefore is an idea?
An idea is a perception, thought or an imagination being dropped or created into the human mind. it is one of the most powerful tools of the mind that can never be destroyed by any materialistic instrument.
It can only be destroyed or stopped by an "idea"(a negative one), giving way to the negative idea puts an end to the horizon of a great or positive one.
Therefore, striving to put into action a positive idea brings to reality the impact of a new discovery which transforms the life and world of humanity
Develop your ideas, plan on it,give it the proper actions and then wait for the birth of a new invention.
